Users Just Have to Sign in Just Once for Installing Cable Apps in Amazon’s Fire TV

Amazon in its attempt to retain the existing customers and to establish a bigger customer base has launched single sign-on feature for its cable apps. Now, people will be able to install all the cable apps by signing into their account just once. The same feature was launched in Apple at the start of 2017 where Roku embraced this feature in the last quarter of 2017.

Amazon has come up with a way to allow its users to install certain apps on their Fire TV devices without having to constantly re-enter their cable credentials. Back in the day, installing certain apps on Amazon Fire TV was an arduous task because people would have to enter their cable credentials over and over again.

But, Amazon was quick to respond to the complaints that it received from its customers on various platforms. This is the reason that Amazon has introduced a single sign-on feature, which allows users to install as many apps they want without having to enter their cable credentials again and again.

The same feature is available in Roku and Apple TV for a long time, and people have appreciated this feature. So, Amazon has also joined both aforementioned brands by unveiling this single sign-on feature. People using Amazon Fire TV can easily add applications without entering the same details over and over again.

It is worth mentioning that single sign-on feature already supports all major satellite and cable providers except ‘Comcast Xfinity’. But, all other major cable and satellite providers such as FiOS, Verizon, Dish, DirecTV & Spectrum, etc., are covered.

The single sign-on feature was launched in January 2018, and it has been a hit among the users. The single sign-on feature will support all existing Fire TV edition TV products, Fire TV and Fire TV Stick. But, people are going to miss some most popular channels one of which is HBO.

But, people should not bother much by the absence of HBO on Amazon Fire TV because sooner or later, HBO will be available on the platform, and then, people will be able to enjoy their favorite movies and other contents streamed through HBO. Below-mentioned is the channels that are available on Amazon Fire TV with the single sign-on feature.

Where Amazon has introduced this feature last month, Roku has unveiled single sign-on feature in October 2017 and Apple introduced it in Apple TV and across iOS devices in January 2017.

This feature has made things a lot more convenient for its users, and it is now certain that the company will get more customers in the upcoming days. There were many people who resisted buying Amazon Fire TV due to the absence of a single sign-on feature, but now many of those people will make their way back to Amazon Fire TV.
